Herbal Face Masks

Face masks can be wonderful treatments for your skin. They can sooth irritated skin, rejuvenate tired skin, or help treat problem spots. Here are several recipes to try.

Lavender-Rose Mask For Oily Skin


This combination of the natural clay fuller's earth and the natural antiseptics tea tree, lavender and rosewater makes a gentle mask for oily skin.

You will need:

Combine fuller's earth, lavender and tea tree oil in a mixing bowl. Store in an airtight container. When ready to use, remove 1 to 2 tbsp. Mix with enough rosewater to make a paste. Smooth over face and let dry. After 20 minutes, remove from skin with a warm, damp washcloth.

Calendula Face Mask For Normal/Dry Skin

This face mask contains calendula which is soothing, and rose hip seed oil which helps to combat wrinkles.

You will need:

Combine fuller's earth, calendula and rose hip seed oil in a mixing bowl. Store in an airtight container. When ready to use, remove 1 to 2 tbsp. Mix with enough sweet almond oil to make a paste. Smooth over face and let dry. After 20 minutes, remove from skin with a warm, damp washcloth.

Soothing Face Mask For Sensitive Skin


This mask contains oatmeal, chamomile and comfrey which all have soothing properties and help to fight irritation.

You will need:

Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Store in an airtight container. When ready to use, remove 1 to 2 tbsp. Mix with enough water to make a paste. Smooth over face and let dry. After 20 minutes, remove from skin with a warm, damp washcloth.
